MOL to open agency for Japan-Russian route with Fesco

2008-2-13

MOL has set up a new agency, called Trans Russia Agency Japan Co Ltd, in a joint venture with Russia's Far Eastern Shipping Company (Fesco) and Tokyo-based Azuma Shipping Co Ltd.

The new agency was established by consolidating MOL's wholly-owned agency Navix Transport and Fesco agency United Orient Shipping and Agency, which was owned by Azuma Shipping (35.5 per cent), Fesco (25 per cent) and MOL (14.5 per cent).

Both Navix Transport and United Orient Shipping and Agency have provided agency services since the launch of MOL's Japan-Russia liner service in 1958. They are expected to ensure a smooth transfer of operations from the previous agency to the new one by retaining experienced employees.
