Taiwan's CAL breaks into China's air cargo market
POSTED: 9:06 a.m. EDT, August 6,2007
China Airlines (CAL) has leased a Boeing 747-400 freighter to China's Yangtze River Express cargo airline to operate China-US/Europe air cargo services.

The freighter has started flying from Shanghai's Pudong International Airport to Luxembourg from the beginning of this month.

Two more B747-400Fs will be leased by the mainland China carrier next year, with the option to lease another.

The Taiwanese airline owns 40 per cent of Yangtze River Express.
