Schenker starts air cargo flights from Dubai to Hahn and Ohio

Deutsche Bahn subsidiary Schenker has inaugurated an air cargo service from Dubai to Toledo, Ohio, via Frankfurt/Hahn, using a Boeing 747-400 Freighter.
This roundtrip airfreight service has been tailored to meet the needs of electronics, automotive, mechanical engineering and garment industry customers.
The service is being provided in co-operation with Emirates SkyCargo aircraft, which depart from Dubai International Airport every Saturday at 2330 hrs local time, heading for Germany with 110 tonnes of cargo.
Six hours later, the cargo for European destinations will be received by Schenker employees at Hahn, and the aircraft will be loaded with additional shipments for the US market. The cargo aircraft will land in Toledo eight hours later. From there the shipments will be distributed across the Schenker and Bax network in the US, explained a Schenker statement. |
