Ningbo trade with Taiwan reaches record high in May

The value of trade between Ningbo and Taiwan hit a monthly record of US$410 million in May, according to Ningbo customs.

Total Ningbo-Taiwan trade value from January to May surged 51.1 per cent year on year to $1.8 million including $1.6 million import value and US$266 million in exports, up 52.2 per cent and 44.1 per cent respectively.



Foreign-invested companies dominated trade with Taiwan in Ningbo with a trade value of US$1.3 billion from January to May, representing a strong increase of 79.8 per cent.



Products traded between Ningbo and Taiwan principally consist of mechanical and electrical gear, plastics and integrated circuits with a value of $1.04 billion, $155 million and $155 million respectively.
