Tallinna Sadam (Port of Tallinn) has signed a MoU with Port of Ningbo with a view to organize container traffic between the two ports, reports Aripaev. Tallinna Sadam aims at cutting the share of liquid bulk (mainly, oil products) in the port. The current share is 65%, the recent figure is 75%, while the target share is 50%. According to Ain Kaljurand, chairman of the Tallinna Sadam board, the Chinese party is looking for a distribution center in the Baltics for their Europe-designated cargoes. Port of Tallinn can propose using for that purpose a territory in Muuga, which has already been set up for a tender worth 2 bn EEK.
