French flag carrier Air France says it will raise ticket prices by €1 on each leg of round-trip short and medium-distance flights.
The airline will also add €5 to each leg of round-trip long-haul flights.
It said in a statement the increase in fuel surcharges had been taken 'because of the high level of oil prices'.
The increase would be lifted when the price of oil stabilises durably below $75, it said.
Air France reduced its fuel surcharge by €1 for short and medium haul flights and €5 for long haul flights on August 29, as the price of a barrel of oil had remained below $75 dollars for 30 consecutive days.
