AADA to hike bunker surcharge in August

Member shipping lines of the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) have announced that they are raising the bunker surcharge for shipments from China and Hong Kong to Australia, in line with established review procedures.

As a result of this move, the bunker surcharge for shipments from China and Hong Kong to ports in Australia will be increased to US$325 per TEU and $650 per FEU for dry and refrigerated containers with effect from August 24.

AADA members are: ANL Singapore, China Shipping Container Line, Cosco Container Line, Hamburg Sud, Hanjin Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Marine, "K" Line, Maersk, MSC, MOL, NYK Line, OOCL, Gold Star Line (HK) and Zim.
