Fujian ports container volume up 18pc in first eight months

TOTAL container volume of coastal ports in Fujian province increased 18 per cent to 4.41 million TEU in the first eight months of this year, accounting for 63 per cent of its annual plan, Xinhua reported.

Among the coastal ports in Fujian, Xiamen handled 2.97 million TEU, an increase of 16.7 per cent. Fuzhou handled 778,700 TEU, up 20.4 per cent, while Quanzhou lifted 650,500 TEU, rising 21.5 per cent.
