POSTED: 9:40 a.m. EDT, October 30,2007

Hong Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line Limited (OOCL) has expanded the capacity of its KTX-1 service which connects Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Japan to Singapore, Xinhua News Agency reported.

OOCL deployed another 4,578-TEU vessel to replace the last 2,754-TEU ship on the line. Henceforth all KTX-1 ships will have 4,500-TEU capacity or more.

The upgraded service has become the largest intra-Asia line calling at the port of Singapore.
