Evergreen and China Shipping launch joint service

Evergreen Line and China Shipping have announced they will begin a joint weekly service linking Asia to the US and Canadian Pacific north-west.

The two lines say that the purpose of the new service is to use mutual slots more efficiently and share resources.

The port rotation will be: Ningbo, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Pusan, Tacoma, Seattle, Vancouver, Tokyo, Osaka, Ningbo.

The PNW service will be operated with six ships of 5,500teu with each carrier contributing three vessels.

The service will commence on 14 October 2009 from Ningbo with the ship Ever Unicorn.
