ICTSI appoints senior executives for Syrian CT

International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) has put together a team of officers for its Syrian subsidiary, Tartous International Container Terminal (TICT).

Designated for TICT were Russell Mitchell as engineering manager, Romeo Salvador as chief financial officer and Augusto Oblego as terminal manager.

Mr Mitchell rejoins the ICTSI group from AMH Townsville, where he served as engineering manager from 2004. He was with former ICTSI subsidiary International Port Services in Dammam, Saudi Arabia from 1999 to 2000 as maintenance manager before being seconded to another former ICTSI subsidiary, Tanzania International Container Terminal Services in Dares Salaam as terminal manager.

Mr Salvador was the former assistant general manager of Container Terminal Systems Solutions Inc. (CTSSI), ICTSI's software developer company for marine ports and terminals.

Mr Oblego was Manila International Container Terminal's operations manager in charge of the Operations Centre and Container Yard (CY)-Marine. He joined ICTSI in 1988 as engineering supervisor for Facilities Maintenance. In 1990, he was promoted to Facilities Maintenance superintendent, a post he held until 1999.
