ICTSI¨s names head of Chinese terminal

International Container Terminal Services, Inc (ICTSI) has appointed Apollo Zhou as general manager for its Chinese unit, Yantai Rising Dragon International Container Terminals (YRDICT).

Zhou brings to ICTSI over 10 years of business management experience through stints in Sea-Land Services and CSX World Terminals both in Hong Kong and mainland China.

Before joining ICTSI, he was chief management consultant with TheChoice Management Technologies, a business unit he had set up with partners in 2003. The company is a provider of professional management, consultancy and training services to Chinese port companies.

Zhou was with CSX World Terminals from 1999 to 2002 as one of three joint venture managers for CSX Orient Container Terminal in Tianjin, China managing the technical department and later the company¨s marketing division while at the same time taking a lead role in CSX¨s China Investment and Business Development projects.

He was also credited for leading the CSX World Terminal China Investment Team in another JV project also within the Yantai Port.
