International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has been named the Philippines' top mid-cap company for 2007 in a survey conducted by Hong Kong journal FinanceAsia.
ICTSI was also cited for its commitment to strong dividend returns. The accolade comes after the terminal operator group was given an honourable mention for corporate governance by The Asset magazine in April 2006.
In FinanceAsia's poll, investment professionals and financial analysts around the world were asked to rank companies in 10 Asian countries on the basis of overall management, corporate governance and their commitment to strong dividend payments, as well as best mid-cap company, small-cap company and best chief financial officer, a statement from the Manila-based company said.
