Dalian container throughput up 18pc in first five months

Dalian handled 1.3 million TEU container from January to May this year, an increase of 18 per cent, a report in the Dalian Daily said.

All-cargo throughput in Dalian port in the first five months increased by 19.8 per cent to 85.659 million tons, including 32.767 million tons of foreign trade cargo, a rise of 21.6 per cent, the report said.



In May alone, Dalian port handled 18.3 million tons of cargo, including 7 million tons of foreign trade as well as and 295,000 TEU, up year on year by 12.9 per cent, 10.9 per cent and 11.3 per cent respectively.
