Dalian container throughput rises from 30th to 26th spot worldwide

Dalian Port container throughput jumped in the world from last year's 30th to 26th in the first quarter of this year.
The port saw steady growth in container throughput from the beginning of 2007 and handled 3.21 million TEU container in the first quarter of this year.
Ten ports in mainland China and Taiwan were among the top 30 container ports in the world with a first Q1 container throughput of 107 million TEU, accounting for 44 per cent of the total container throughput of all top 30 container ports.
