Dragonair, part of the Cathay Group, says it will begin scheduled services to Fukuoka and Sendai, Japan on October 28, while dropping its daily Tokyo run.
Flights to Fukuoka will operate daily, and thrice weekly to Sendai using Airbus A321 and Airbus A320 aircraft respectively. Dragonair claims it will be the only airline operating scheduled flights between Hong Kong and Sendai and the only airline to fly non-stop to Fukuoka.
The flight schedules are as follows: Flight KA316 will depart from Hong Kong at 0850 hrs and arrive in Fukuoka at 1305 hrs daily. Flight KA317 will depart from Fukuoka at 1555 hrs and touch down in Hong Kong at 1900 hrs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
On Thursdays, the flight will leave Fukuoka at 1535 hrs and arrive in Hong Kong at 1840 hrs. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the flight will take off from Fukuoka at 1600 hrs and touch down in Hong Kong at 1905 hrs.
For Sendai, flight KA320 will leave Hong Kong on Wednesdays at 1255 hrs and arrive in Sendai at 1755 hrs. On Thursdays and Sundays, the flight will leave Hong Kong at 1440 hrs and arrive in Sendai at 1940 hrs.
On Mondays and Fridays, flight KA321 will depart from Sendai at 0940 hrs and land in Hong Kong at 1415 hrs. On Thursdays, the flight will take off from Sendai at 0815 hrs and touch down in Hong Kong at 1255 hrs.
