Hong Kong's Dragonair will increase services from August 1 with daily flights to Chongqing and Xian while doubling services to Fuzhou to 14 times a week.
Dragonair also plans to operate 30 charter services from July 15 to August 26 mostly to Japan over the upcoming summer peak season, with 10 flights to Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture, seven to Kita Kyushu, north of Fukuoka, three to Miyazaki, also in Kyushu, and three to Kagoshima at the southwest tip of Japan. Another two charters will take travellers to Oita.
Regular service will call for flights to Busan to be raised from thrice weekly to daily on July 1.
Since its September merger with Cathay Pacific, Dragonair has added Phuket and Busan as destinations as well as 10 new flights to existing routes. New flights include upgrading the Kaohsiung service from four to five a day and adding three more a week to Kota Kinabalu, making it a daily service.
"We are pleased to bring more flexibility and convenience for travellers, and we now provide at least a daily service to most of our destinations," said Dragonair CEO Kenny Tang.
Dragonair is a Hong Kong-based airline operating a fleet of 30 aircraft to 30 regional destinations, including 21 cities in mainland China, and six freighters. Dragonair is part of the Cathay Pacific Group, providing connections to more than 100 cities worldwide.
