Delta Air Lines' cargo revenue declined by one per cent in the fourth quarter of 2013, and by five per cent over the full year compared to 2012, according to Shipping Gazette.
The airline's cargo tonne miles (CTM) performance last year declined nearly two per cent year on year.
According to Delta Cargo spokesperson Liz Savadelis, the carrier would not reveal its cargo tonnage figures due to "pricing concerns," reported Atlanta area Air Cargo World.
"Despite a challenged cargo market that saw the entire industry experience heavy yield pressure, Delta Cargo held its own in 2013, with CTM performance down nearly two per cent year on year," chief cargo officer Tony Charaf was quoted as saying.
"Going forward, we'll continue to focus on building our product offerings and offering the most seamless shipping experience with the help of Delta Cargo people worldwide."
