Cargolux executive quits over differences over airline's new strategy

Luxembourg's Cargolux has announced the resignation of Robert van de Weg as the airline's senior vice president sales and marketing and as member of the executive committee, according to the Shipping Gazette.
Europe's biggest scheduled all-cargo airline said the decision over differences with Cargolux's new China-focus strategy in the wake of the purchase of a 35 per cent stake by the Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA), the provincial investment vehicle.
The position will be taken over by Henning zur Hausen, member of the executive committee and senior vice president legal affairs and compliance, on an interim basis.
The board of directors thanked Mr van de Weg for his 14 years service with the airline and wished him well in the future.
