Cameroon has signed an air cargo agreement that will lead to direct flights between Yaounde and Banjul or between Douala and Banjul, the Gambian capital.
This will allow Camair-Co the flag carrier of Cameroon, and Gambia Birds, the Gambian carrier, to consolidate their routes, said the Cameroonian Transport Minister Robert Nkili at the signing of a flight agreement with Addoullie Sallah, Secretary to the Gambian presidency.
The air cargo accord will increase trade among neighbouring countries with the increased flow of people, goods and services between the two countries, reported Business in Cameroon.
