Russian Railways to build container terminal in Vostochny port

Russian Railways (RZD OJSC) plans to build a container terminal in Vostochny port, Vladimir Yakunin, RZD President, told journalists according to Gudok.Ru referring to ITAR-TASS. According to Mr. Yakunin, the project on construction of new terminal capacities in Vostochny port is aimed at improvement of competitiveness at the end points of Transsib. Mr. Yakunin also told RZD held negotiations with the owners of Vostochny port but the price proposed was too high to agree.
