VMTP and Severstaltrans to invest RUR 917 million into new container terminal

Investment into the project on construction of a specialized container complex in Commercial Port of Vladivostok will total RUR 917.6 million, Interfax reports according to Gudok.RuThe source quotes Andrei Tokarev, VMTP Director of strategic development. According to Mr. Tokarev, the 100,000-TEU complex will get joint investment of VMTP (infrastructure and berths) and Severstaltrans Group (equipment). The new complex is to be operated by Vladivostok Container Service LLC (subsidiary of Vladivostok Container Terminal LLC. Thus annul capacity of container complexes at the territory of Vladivostok commercial seaport will climb to 260,000 TEU.
