Sea Star increasing intermodal charge
POSTED: 9:29 a.m. EDT, June 8,2007
Sea Star Line will increase its intermodal fuel charge, effective June 17, due to increased costs from its truck and rail service providers.
The new intermodal charges in Florida will be $47 for shipments within the zones for the Port of Jacksonville or Port Everglades, and $120 for other Florida cargo being transported to one of those ports. The charge had been $45 for local cargo and $115 for the rest of Florida.
Sea Star serves Puerto Rico from both Florida ports.
