IPBCC adding surcharge for heavy containers

Member lines of the India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conference on June 11 will introduce a Heavy Weight Container Surcharge of $100 to all 20-foot containers exceeding 20 tons moving in the eastbound trade from North Europe and the Mediterranean to the Indian subcontinent.

Carriers participating in IPBCC are ANL Container Line, CMA-CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, Evergreen Line, Hamburg Sud, ¡°K¡± Line, MacAndrews, Maersk Line, MISC Berhad, CSAV Norasia, Rickmers-Line, Safmarine, Shipping Corp. of India, United Arab Shipping Co., Yang Ming and Zim.
