MOL China sets up Zhengzhou office on Yellow River
POSTED: 8:50 a.m. EDT, July 7,2007
MOL, the Japanese transport giant, has deployed its Shanghai-based unit, MOL (China) Co., Ltd to open an office in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province this month.

The Zhengzhou office, located within the Runhua Business Garden, will initially be responsible for sales promotion, information gathering, and various liaison duties related to MOL services.

This development comes as MOL has been expanding and enhancing its network on the mainland with a view to increasing business in China. Zhenghou has a population of about seven million and is situated on the banks of the Yellow River. Nowadays this modern city is a national railway hub and centre for various manufacturing industries such as automobiles and electrical equipment, which are mainly exported via the port of Qingdao.

MOL said in a statement that it had decided to open an office in Zhengzhou to meet rising demand for transport services in the future, and provide higher-quality services tailored to customer needs.

With the opening of the Zhengzhou office, MOL now has 27 offices in China.
