Longhai city reveals plans to develop three major ports

The city of Longhai in Fujian province has revealed plans to build three major ports for CNY1.7 billion (US$223.54 million), Xinhua reports.

The three ports comprise a multi-purpose terminal, a fishing port and a port for handling petrochemical products.



A 30,000-ton multi-purpose berth and a 30,000-ton bulk cargo berth will be built at the multi-purpose terminal. The first phase of the terminal will have an annual box capacity of 80,000 TEU and bulk capacity of 1.7 million tons of cargo.



The fishing port will have four berths and a cold store warehouse with a storage capacity for 10,000 tons of produce.



The petrochemical port will be equipped with a 250,000-ton terminal, two terminals of 10,000 tons, and a multi-purpose terminal with an aggregate capacity of 10 million tons of cargo.
