Port of Fangchenggang box volume surges 65pc in first eight months

FROM January to August, cumulative volume of cargo handled by southwestern China sea port of Fangchenggang surged 64.7 per cent up year on year to 52,500 TEU, or 610,000 tons, Xinhua reported.

Imported cargo soared 72 per cent to 25,500 TEU, or 179,000 million tons. Exported cargo jumped 58 per cent to 26,900 TEU or 432,000 tons.
