Port of Nantong August box volume breaks record

PORT of Nantong, which is in eastern China's Jiangsu province, handled 40,874 TEU in August, an increase of 23.8 per cent comparing to the same month a year ago, setting a new high for the port's monthly box volume.

In this total, 14,551 TEU were imports and 26,323 were exports, Chinese mainland publication Logistics Week said.
