Mr. Ilesanmi Peter Oladosu: Datol Express Courier Service Limited Nigeria was incorporated in the year 2004 under Corporate affair commission of Federal Republic of Nigeria as a courier company, freight forwarders and customs brokers agent both sea and air across the globe. Rendering service to customer's satisfaction is our priority.
JCtrans: We know Datol Express Courier Services Limited offers worldwide cargo consolidation services. Would you please talk about your core-competitiveness?
Mr. Ilesanmi Peter Oladosu: Our Core-Competitiveness in Nigeria are DHL, UPS, and FEDEX. There are about 500 registered courier companies in Nigeria in which everybody are looking for customers, but Datol is out of these 500 registered ones. Our company is well recognized among them. We are all been issued the same courier license by courier regulate body in Nigeria (CRD).
JCtrans: Nowadays, the competition in logistics industry is fiercer and fiercer. What do you think is the most important thing to run a logistics company?
Mr. Ilesanmi Peter Oladosu: The logistics industry is very fierce, but the most important things to do on running a logistics company are client, good staff and good price. You should rigorously pursue having good client (importer and exporter) to whom you can constantly offer good services, such as regularly prompt delivery, reasonable and competitive price. And you also need to have a committed and honesty staff, which will be ready to face the challenge and the heat on the way.
JCtrans: Would you please talk about the current logistics industry? Are there any advantages or problems?
Mr. Ilesanmi Peter Oladosu: Currently logistics industry is facing a lot of changes. For example, pricing is one of the changes. It is also the major problem in the world of freight business. Today there is no standard setting for pricing, which can affect the business. So the current situation is if you are asking client to pay $2.00 per kg, some body will offer $1.00 per kg. Sometimes you wonder how the man can ask for $1.00 per a shipment and how he could make profit out of it. So our opinion is that there should be minimum cost per kg which will be international accepted by all parties involved in freight industry.
JCtrans: Finally, will you please talk about the prospect of Datol Express Courier Services Limited? Mr. Ilesanmi Peter Oladosu: Yes. There is a great prospect for Datol Express Courier Services in logistics industry. Because the ingredient of the business is the importers & exporters which Datol is working with, such as the manufacturing, telecoms, oil companies etc. And Datol has good staff and man power with new technology idea to cope with the challenges of the future in this industry.
