Evergreen sues Boeing over Dreamlifter deal

2010-4-7

Evergreen International Airlines has filed a US$175 million lawsuit against Boeing following the aircraft manufacturer's decision to switch the contract for operating its four giant Dreamlifter transport aircraft to Atlas Air.

According to The Seattle Times, Evergreen claims Boeing's only reason for switching the contract was to offset a liability to Atlas Air of nearly $1 billion resulting from delays to the B747-8 freighter programme.
