21 killed in Indian train crash

At least 21 people were killed and 53 injured, 18 seriously, when a freight train on the wrong track ran into a passenger train stopped at Bhaderwah station.

The head-on collision, which occurred 375km south of New Delhi, took place in heavy rain.

The death toll is expected to rise as the debris of two damaged coaches were being cleared, according to rail official RS Yadav.
