AFL steps up UPSĄŻ Indian delivery

2007-12-4

UPS has teamed up with Indian freight forwarder AFL, to provide express services to Indian-based customers.

Mark Dickens, UPS, said India is a "priority market" for the company. The domestic business in India is relatively fragmented, and UPS intends to increase its focus on the sector.

"We are going to be working on expanding our presence in India and saturating the market, and this [alliance] with AFL will allow us to do that," said Dickens.

AFL will continue to function as a domestic service provider connecting businesses across India, and the alliance will allow AFL to pick up international export shipments on behalf of UPS.
