Dubai, Oct. 18th. We arrived at the convention center of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, UAE, just one day before the opening of the FIATA Conference. After four hours hard word we finally finished decorating our booth, No. 7. While we were working, Maggie and Vivian from Jackson Freight System Ltd., one of our GCP members headquartered in Shanghai, visited our booth and also brought with them their local agent – Mr. Munir Memon from Transworld FZE. He gave us a brief introduction to the Jebel Ali Free Zone and local market. It was a very pleasant business talk.

Just after they left, Mr. Dilip B. Bhatia, the Sales & Marketing manager of Network Logistic Services FZCO, came to our booth and looked through our GCP members list. After this he gave me a stack of business cards to hand out to all of our GCP members, stating that he was interested in developing partnerships with agencies in the future.

Since the conference had not officially opened yet, most of the people arriving were just interested in registering their company and setting up their stalls. We expect to have face-to-face talks tomorrow, and look forward to promoting JCtrans and our GCP members. It will be a very tough day for us, so we need a good nights sleep to prepare to meet freight forwarders from all over the world.
