กกกกOn November 14, 2007, JCtrans, following forums in Tianjin and Shenzhen, held the 2nd E-Business Management for International Logistics Forum - Seminar on the "Blue Sea" Strategy for Freight Forwarders, in Shanghai. The "Blue Sea" strategy is aimed at developing an uncontested market by creating and capturing new business opportunities. This is in contrast with the "Red Sea" strategy, or price war, which is aimed at reducing prices for existing customers in order to fend off the competition. From 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on November 15th, JCtrans held the first GCP Salon at UBC Coffee in Shanghai, and invited more than 10 GCP members. The salon aimed to strengthen the communication between JCtrans' staff and GCP members, and to help GCP members keep themselves up-to-date with the www.jctrans.net website and the GCP product.

At the beginning of the GCP Salon, after a short salutatory by Mr. Lee Feng, CEO of JCtrans, Mr. Zhang Changtian, manager of www.jctrans.net, gave two reports. The first one was a comparison between the services provided by JCtrans and those offered by other companies. The second offered some suggestions on how to confront the problems that emerge while communicating with international agencies, such as delays to emails due to different time zones or vacations, and misunderstandings caused by the differences in business culture. This will be an ongoing process and members will continue to be updated in the future. Ms. Guo Lijuan, manager of product department at JCtrans, addressed the GCP members on the use of the website and the latest improvements to the GCP product.

After all the reports were finished, GCP members and the staff at JCtrans began to talk with each other freely. GCP members shared their experiences of using online logistics and communication with international agencies, and the JCtrans staff helped to resolve any problems they had commented on. As several GCP members joined the salon half way through due to prior engagements, the salon was prolonged by two hours.

JCtrans is preparing to hold the GCP Salon regularly in the future in order to allow GCP members to learn more about JCtrans and the GCP product.
