India plans to hold two mega shows in London and New York in September this year, showcasing its rich culture and huge potential as a tourist attraction as part of celebrations to mark 60 years of Independence.

The show in New York will coincide with the UN General Assembly and will be on from Sept. 22 to 25. It will have on display various facets of India's culture and folk arts.

These shows are part of the Indian government's efforts to promote tourism and attract more visitors from abroad, IANS said.
