2008-6-13

Evergreen Line is starting a new regional service to the main central Adriatic and Balkan ports in June 2008.

The new service, named the Adriatic Feeder Service (AFS), is expected to "significantly improve" the existing Intra-Mediterranean feeder network that uses the port of Taranto in Italy as a hub, a statement from the carrier said.

The first sailing is scheduled to depart from Taranto on June 13, and will be undertaken by the 974-TEU vessel, the Iris Bolten.

The ports of call on a seven-day rotation are: Taranto, Ancona (Italy), Ploce (Croatia), Bar (Montenegro), Durres (Albania), Taranto.
