Evergreen Line is preparing to revamp its China-Taiwan-US container shipping services by merging the TPS and CPS services together within a butterfly service combining two successive loops.
The successive loops AUS and CPS will deploy a total of nine ships each with a capacity of 5,000-7,000 TEU, instead of 10 ships for the two separate services, reports AXS-Alphaliner News.
The new service will drop the TPS call at Tacoma, and Tacoma will be added to the HTW sling which will drop Oakland. But the Oakland call is included twice on the new AUS-CPS service.
In other news, Evergreen plans to drop Japanese port of calls from its NUE Pendulum service as it is launching the Japan-LA service (JAS) jointly with NWA. The loop will expand the China service and call at the Asian ports of Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao and Busan, the report said.
