CKA service to drop Hong Kong on new China-Korea-Australia loop in May

2008-4-8

Hanjin Shipping has announced the launch of its CKA (China-Korea-Australia) service, which will replace current NCA (North Asia-China-Australia) starting from early May.

Operated by Hanjin, Sinotrans, STX Pan Ocean and Heung-A Shipping, the CKA service will call at Ningbo, but will drop Hong Kong as a port of call, thus cutting a day off its transit time.

Hanjin slots, on the five 1,200-TEU ships, will also be increased in this service to cover up the growing volume in the Australian market.

CKA rotation will be Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and back to Busan.
