CKYH to focus on competitiveness, service coverage in 2008

2008-4-22

The container shipping lines that participate in the CKYH Alliance have made it their prime objective of 2008 to "enhance service competitiveness and improve customer service on the east and west trades and also to enlarge service coverage."

This objective was agreed upon at a recent CKYH summit meeting in Okinawa, Japan attended by the senior managers of Cosco Container Lines, "K" Line, Yang Ming Marine and Hanjin Shipping, to set their collective targets for 2008.

Other major goals for 2008 will be to strengthen cooperation within the CKYH Alliance, particularly with regard to terminals and chassis; and also to rationalise services in the transpacific and European trades, and to develop regional feeder networks.
