Oslo to host shipping exhibition on satellites, software, navigation

Digital Ship Scandinavia, a two-day conference in Oslo March 11-12, will focus on the developments and best practises in communications, IT and navigation systems in the maritime industry.

Guest speakers will include the IT managers of some of the world's most technically advanced shipping companies, including Maersk Supply Services, Rickmers, Neste Shipping, Rederiet Trans Atlantic, Grieg Shipping Group, KG Jebsen, Lyras Shipping, Solvang, Stolt Tankers and Color Line.

Other speakers will be the maritime managing directors of Inmarsat, SpecTec and Jeppesen Marine, maritime companies specialising in satellite communications, software and electronic charts, a statement from the organisers said.
