DP World, Maersk bosses meet

Top ranking executives from Dubai Ports World and A.P. Moller-Maersk recently met to discuss long-term global cooperation.

"We are especially keen on exploring cooperation with the Maersk Group as it is one of our most prominent customers in several ports operated by DP World around the world, including DP World Jebel Ali. We look forward to further discussions in the future," said Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, DP World's executive vice chairman.

In the Maersk party were new group chief executive officer Nils Smedegaard Andersen; Michael Pram Rasmussen, chairman of the Maersk board; Kim Feifer, CEO of APM Terminals; Ane Maersk Mc-Kinney Uggla, Maersk board member; and Marc Gijsbrechts, Maersk's Middle East CEO.

With Thaniah from DP World were CEO Mohammed Sharaf; Anil Wats, chief operating officer; and Michael Moore, senior vice president, commercial.
