Guangxi Wulin port adds US$5.4 million container terminal

Wulin port in Guangxi's Pingnan County added two container berths by completing the Wulin Port Operation Zone First Phase project, Logistics Week reported.

Work on the CNY40 million (US$5.4 million) project includes two 2,000-tonne berths with annual handling capacity of 100,000 TEU and one million tons, a 30,000-square metre container depot, a 2.3-square kilometre port highway and a customs inspection area, the report said.

Wulin port has now had domestic and feeder services to major coastal ports of Hong Kong, Nansha, Chiwan, Dalian, Shanghai and Fuzhou as well as direct foreign trade services to Japan and South Korea, the report said.
