MSC increases rates on farm produce from US to Asia
POSTED: 9:57 a.m. EDT, September 8,2007

Mediteranean Shipping Company (USA) has announced a general rate increase of US$80 per TEU and $100 per FEU container on agricultural products from US origins to Far East destinations effective October 1.

The Geneva-based shipping line announced in a statement issued from New York that "increased operational costs and changing market conditions have made this rate adjustment necessary".

MSC operates more than 318 container vessels.
