POSTED: 9:21 a.m. EDT, June 29,2007

South Korea's flag carrier Korean Air, is launching a thrice-weekly chartered service to Calgary, Canada over the two-month peak period from July 1 to September 2.

The three outbound flights will depart Seoul/Incheon on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 1820 hrs and land in Calgary at 1405hrs the same day. The return flight will depart from Calgary on the same days at 1605 hrs, arriving in Seoul/Incheon at 1830 hrs the following day. Korean Air will use 301-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft on the route.

Korean Air's new charter service to Calgary marks the airline's third direct flight operation to Canada following Vancouver and Toronto. The direct route to Calgary allows for more convenient access to the Rocky Mountains for those who would otherwise have to transit via Vancouver or Toronto.
