Lufthansa offer for Alitalia favored
POSTED: 9:55 a.m. EDT, November 1,2007
Deutsche Lufthansa's offer to buy a stake in Italian peer Alitalia is seen as being favoured above rival offers due to its plan for Milan's Malpensa airport.

Alitalia is expected to choose the buyer on November 20, a week later than expected.

The Lufthansa plan envisages keeping some long-haul flights at Malpensa.
