International freight buoying figures

AIRPORTS participating in the ACI FreightFlash exercise, have reported that total freight handled worldwide rose by 2.2 per cent in September, taking the year-to-date average to 3.4 per cent.

International freight progressed steadily, up 4.7 per cent as compared to September 2006, excepting in North America (-2.6 per cent).

Domestic markets fell by three per cent, with all regions reporting negative results.
