CALIFORNIA logistics giant Menlo Worldwide has signed a contract to establish and operate a distribution centre for Singapore apparel retailer EUT Fashion that provides warehousing, inventory control and order filling.
EUT Fashion, the fast-growing Singapore fashion retailer, contracted Menlo Worldwide to design, deploy and operate its local distribution centre.
Menlo provides outsourced logistics, deploying an integrated package that includes warehousing, receiving, inspection, racking, shelving, inventory organisation and security designed for high-value retail goods.
Menlo also provides customs clearance and transport from the port and handles local delivery and tenders export shipments to forwarders.
"By appointing Menlo for logistics services, we can focus on our core competencies of marketing and merchandising," said EUT Fashion CEO Patrick Chai.
Said Menlo president Robert Bianco: "Our experience with high-value consumer goods logistics complements their strategies."
Menlo Worldwide has 13 million square feet of dedicated warehouse space in North America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America. The company is a unit of New York-listed Con-way, a $4.7 billion freight transport and logistics company, nominated this year in Fortune magazine as "Most Admired Company".
