Career Motivation in the logistics and supply chain industry
More than two thirds of the logistics and supply chain professionals worldwide are unsure whether they wish to stay with their current employer long-term. This is one of the key outcomes of Europhia Consulting¨s global survey within the logistics sector. What drives them away from their employer? What motivates them to join, stay with or leave a company? Does salary determine their career choices?
The results of Europhia Consulting¨s Global Career Motivation Survey answer these questions. This survey forms the first part of the Global Logistics HR Survey Series 2007/2008. The Career Motivation Survey received participation from over 1,000 logistics and supply chain professionals from around the world.
Consistently, logistics professionals identify Career Opportunities as the key driver behind career motivation. Salary still plays an important role, but a good salary package alone is not sufficient to make employees join or stay with a company. Career Opportunities is a decisive factor for career choice.
