Customs eases as YICT to achieve smoother cargo flow
POSTED: 8:45 a.m. EDT, September 25,2007

STARTING this month, exporters who need to amend their shipping schedules will be allowed to make their changes before applying to the customs at the Yantian International Container Terminals (YICT).

This is a new facility offered by YICT involving the co-operation of the Shenzhen Dapeng customs in a bid to provide exporters with greater convenience.

Under the new system, carriers can rearrange previously customs-cleared cargo to meet urgent schedule changes, and shippers can submit documents 24 hours after cargo is loaded.
