Cathay Pacific Airways says it will add frequencies on its routes to Dallas and Atlanta, moving from four flights a week to six from July 25 with new flights added every Wednesday and Friday.
The 747-400 Freighter service becomes daily August 25 when a Sunday flight is added.
North America remains one of the most important cargo markets out of Hong Kong and the airline now flies its freighters to a total of eight destinations, namely New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta in the US and Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.
Cathay now operates 19 freighters to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, and Toronto and Vancouver. The airline has two more BCFs on firm order and in May 2008 will take delivery of the first of six new Boeing 747-400 Extended Range Freighters for use on long-haul routes.
